Border re-opening

Our school is open for students, without any restrictions.

The following rules apply for non-residents entering Uruguay:

Vaccinated foreigners

Requisites

  1. Vaccination: having received the unique or both doses against the SARS-CoV-2 virus (depending on the type of vaccine) approved by the country of origin, not more than 9 months before boarding and maintaining the minimum 14 days after the last vaccination. You must show a vaccination certificate and fulfill the mentioned periods. In case you have received a third dosis, immunity is considered achieved after a period of 7 days.
  2. Test before departure: you must show a negative SARS-CoV-2 test certificate (PCR-RT or antigen) done no more than 72 hours before starting the trip. Children younger than 6 years do not have to show a test.
  3. Test after arrival: not necessary
  4. Health coverage: you need to show health insurance upon arrival (which includes Covid coverage)
  5. Sworn statement: You must fill in the electronic declaration within 48 hours of your departure to Uruguay. You must use the same documents you will use to enter Uruguay.

 

Foreigners having had Covid-19 over the past 90 days

Requisites

  1. Proof of desease: you must show a positive SARS-CoV-2 test certificate (PCR-RT or antigen) done between 90 and 10 days before starting the trip. You must add this certificate to the sown declaration (below) and have the document ready for inspection upon arrival.
  2. Test before departure: not necessary
  3. Test after arrival: not necessary
  4. Health coverage: you need to show health insurance upon arrival (which includes Covid coverage)
  5. Sworn statement: You must fill in the electronic declaration within 48 hours of your departure to Uruguay. You must use the same documents you will use to enter Uruguay.

 

Non-vaccinated foreigners

Requisites

  1. Non-vaccinated foreigners may enter the country only if they follow the “exceptional entry procedure”. For more information contact us directly.
  2. Test before departure: you must show a negative SARS-CoV-2 test certificate (PCR-RT or antigen) done no more than 72 hours before starting the trip. Children younger than 6 years do not have to show a test.
  3. Test after arrival: not necessary if you stay for periods shorter than 7 days. If you stay longer you must do a PCR-RT test on day 7 or stay in quarantine for 14 days after entering the country.
  4. Health coverage: you need to show health insurance upon arrival (which includes Covid coverage)
  5. Sworn statement: You must fill in the electronic declaration within 48 hours of your departure to Uruguay. You must use the same documents you will use to enter Uruguay.
